Holding on

I’m holding on.  Though I don’t really need to.  And you?

My hand curls around the edge.  It feels as only metal feels.  Hard. cool.   Comfortingly solid.

I’m only pausing here.  I could find a firmer seat, but no.

In a moment I will push off and move away into …..?

One finger lifts in anticipation.

In a moment I will let go.  And you?
